Mary and the Locks is actually just Marianne Lock (she/her), the one behind the whole band. She is an illustrator and designer, based in Rotterdam, but she also cuts & pastes, animates, art-directs, sews, builds, crafts and writes. So she works in different media, but always in her own style, with her own view of the world. Preferring pens and paper over tablets and computers, there is a homemade, nostalgic feeling to her works. Fresh, funny and playful (but not only for kids) and more importantly: with a positive message.
Founded by Gaea Poggetti (she/her) in 2019, Gapogg is a creative studio that gathers everything she loves under one roof: fun branding projects for small businesses, colourful illustrations inspired by our beautiful planet & an online shop for riso and stationery lovers!
Eline Veldhuisen (she/her) is an illustrator from Utrecht. In June 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor of Design in Illustration, from the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU). Graduating with a short animated film, she also does animation related projects. She works on commission and sells prints of her work in her shop and at markets. Most of her work is made digitally, but she always strives to maintain that 'hand-drawn feel’ in her illustrations.
Alice Mulder (she/her) is an illustrator and graphic designer from The Hague. She often uses observations and humour in her work. Influenced by the Riso printing technique, her work is colourful, playful, and sometimes absurd. She makes people laugh, and takes them to imaginary places where everything seems just fine. Her drawings are inspired by romanticized North American culture and everyday life, giving the viewer the feeling of being on a journey without leaving their home.
