About the Artist

Annisa Frankes-Purwanto (she/her) is an Indonesian artist, currently living in Groningen with her husband and two lovely cats. 

Her works are mostly inspired by her love for cats and (indoor) plants. Although cats and plants are not always the best combination in real life, at least they can exist side-by-side peacefully in her paintings. Half teacher-half dreamer, she mostly paints traditionally with gouache while learning digital painting and illustration. In her spare time, Annisa loves walking in nature, spotting mushrooms, and watching dogs in the park.
